     In recent years, China's economy keeps high development speed, urbanization goes further and people's living standard has been improved. Therefore, baby carriage sector gets prosperous. Baby stroller, walker and bicycle have been becessary for an urban family since the baby is born. And powered ride-on and scooter are also within parents' regular choices for their kids.

     The market for baby carriages in China is very big. There are three reasons. Firstly of all, thanks to its large population. China has undergone three baby booms since the founding of New China. And there were about 124 million babies born during the third baby boom (1986-1990), almost taking up 10% current China's population. This generation has grown up and begun starting families. As a result, China will see a new baby boom, namely the fourth one, before 2015, which is expected to give a drive to the development of baby carriage sector. Secondly, great demand for baby carriages. According to a related survey, China is the second largest consumer of baby products following the United States. And now the consumption keeps an annual growth rate as high as 15%. Years of "the only child" policy shapes a special "4-2-1" family structure in China, making education for the only child as the priority of the whole family and also becoming more and more important part in family expenditures. It is estimated that the consumption volume of baby products will reach 2 trillion RMB in 2015. And baby carriage is one of the important categories. Last but not the least is the expandable development space. As a country with a vast territory, China features a market demand different from region to region. Take baby stroller for instance, high-end ones sold at 1,000 RMB are never short of fans in large cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou while 100 RMB ones are popular in small cities and towns. As long as conpanies find their right positions, they will have their own development space.
